The Unforgiven

The statement and question appeared to be out of place within the page of text for the business management and entrepreneurial training class in which I am enrolled. The words seemed more fitting for a seminary curriculum as I read: "Write about one thing you have been unable to forgive someone for. Describe a time when you chose the path of 'unforgiveness'---something you have been unable to forgive someone else for. What were the consequences of choosing not to forgive in your life?" At first I struggled to find something in my past where I needed to forgive a perceived wrong against me. I didn't have such difficulty when it came to the wrongs I have committed against others in my past. That list is longer than I'd like and I am grateful for the forgiveness extended to me by others and our Lord, but back to the "un forgiveness" harbored deep within.
